Mime is a Modern-Day Form of Blasphemy!
Blaspheming is the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God. Contrary to what many believe, it does not have to be verbal. Accordingly, mime performances or what some refer to as mime ministry is by all accounts blasphemous and serves as an insult and lack of reverence towards a Holy God. Several biblical examples of blasphemy are listed below.
-
The origin of mimes is connected to false Gods. The Lord clearly communicates in His Word that we should have no other Gods before Him. Exodus 20:32.
-
Mimes are deceptive and do not portray an image of holiness to God. For many people, especially children and persons with intellectual disabilities, their presence creates an eerie or fearful feeling. II Timothy 1:7 says that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but love, power and a sound mind. Mime in ministry is entertainment-based.

Exodus 20:4-5 says that God is a jealous God. Mime performers often get "all" of the applause, glory, praise and standing ovations. However, let us not appease ourselves, God is not jealous because someone has something He wants or needs. He is jealous when someone takes something that "belongs to him and him only" and gives it another.
